Outreach
At LCM, outreach is a vibrant tapestry woven both within and beyond our walls. Through impactful initiatives, we extend compassion and support to our greater community, while also fostering a culture of care and connection within our congregation. We embrace outreach as a shared journey that enriches both our internal and external communities.
Samaritan Ministry
The Samaritan Ministry fulfills the church's mission by addressing community and global needs through various initiatives including donations for Ukraine Relief, Suicide Prevention, Habitat for Humanity, and local charities. This totaled nearly $15,000 in contributions in 2022, and continues to support initiatives such as
Wholly Kicks and The
Little Pantry today.
Bread Ministry
The Bread Ministry welcomes first-time visitors with a gift bag that includes bread, a thank-you note, and church information.
Foothills Elementary Refugee & Immigrant Assist Ministry
The Foothills Assist Ministry gives Christmas gifts and ongoing support to refugee and immigrant families, extending its assistance to Foothills Elementary School.
Meal Ministry
The Meal Ministry offers meals and grocery gift cards to those in need due to hospitalization, illness recovery, childbirth, or bereavement.
Green Ministry
The Green Ministry emphasizes efficient stewardship of resources including maintaining Adopt-A-Street efforts, monitoring the rooftop solar system, and upgrading
sanctuary lighting to
energy-efficient LEDs.
Reconciling in Christ
The RIC committee organizes a range of activities and resources to support and empower our LGBTQ+ siblings and advocate for racial equity. This ongoing effort is rooted in our commitment to forging acceptance, participation, and liberation within our community, guided by our belief in God's unconditional embrace and Jesus Christ's call
for justice.
HEART Ministry
HEART ministry serves coffee and treats after every Sunday service, sends cards and gifts for various occasions (including retirements and battles with illness), and coordinates
anniversary celebrations and receptions.
Caring Visitor Ministry
The Caring Visitor Ministry provides companionship, prayer, and support to homebound and hospitalized members, updating the pastor on special needs and maintaining Next of Kin information for
LCM members.
Little Free Pantry
Inspired by compassion, trust, and mutual aid, LCM proudly hosts a little food pantry, providing a safety net for those in need.
Outreach Blanket Ministry
The Outreach Blanket Ministry delivered 40 hand-quilted blankets to Denver Medical in February and welcomes volunteers to
help assemble pre-made
tops into blankets.
Miracle Workers
LCM is proud to be a part of the
Miracle Worker network. Established
in 2011, this faith-based coalition comprises 7 churches in the west Denver metro area, partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver to build homes, raise funds, and promote awareness about the need for safe, decent, affordable housing in our community. Annually, we contribute financially and volunteer
in construction to sponsor a home, fostering a spirit of compassion
and community
engagement
